How translations are kept in sync
What Opvelo translates in your store, how edits to the original reach every language, and how your own terminology is kept.
Translation is part of Speak Every Market. Opvelo translates your whole Shopify store into the languages you sell in, and keeps it up to date as your catalog changes.
What gets translated
Products, collections, pages, menus, banners and custom fields, per market, with your own terminology. Custom fields are translated when you choose to include them.
Edit the original, translations follow
You only edit your store in its main language. When you change a product, collection or page, Opvelo notices the change and re-translates it for every language. Other parts of the store are checked on a schedule, so nothing stays outdated for long.
Only the fields that changed are translated again. Fixing a typo in a description doesn’t retranslate the whole product.
New products
New products are live in every language from day one: once a product is created, its translations follow for every market.
Adapted for each market
Some content needs more than a translation: prices, currency, shipping or return details that differ between countries. Opvelo adapts those parts for each market, so a page for Italy doesn’t talk about another country’s delivery terms.
Your voice and your words
Translations follow your brand voice and your own terminology, so product names and the words you always use stay consistent in every language.
Emails and support
The same applies beyond the storefront: order updates, back-in-stock alerts, newsletters and support replies go out in the customer’s language.
