Translations fall behind the moment you edit

Stores translate once with an app or an agency, then every new product, price change or fixed typo leaves one language behind. Someone exports CSVs, pastes into a translation tool and imports them back. Meanwhile a French page promises Romanian delivery times and a renamed product breaks the translated links.

How Translations works

Changes are noticed

When a product or collection is created or edited in Shopify, Opvelo hears about it straight away. Pages, menus, policies, blog articles and theme text are scanned on a schedule, every six hours by default.

Only what changed

Opvelo compares each field with what it translated last time and re-translates only the fields that changed. Fixing a typo in a description doesn't retranslate the whole product, and HTML, links and numbers stay intact.

Adapted per market

Text that mentions shipping, prices, currency or returns gets a second pass using each market's own rules, such as delivery time and free-shipping threshold. Italy's pages talk about Italy's terms, not another country's.

Written back to Shopify

Translations are saved straight into Shopify for each language and market. When a translated URL changes, a redirect is created so existing links keep working, and health checks flag translations that stall or fail.
